Nicely researched and written... The characters flow smoothly and convincingly from the very early pages. The storylines and narratives grab on and don't let go chapter after chapter... The only irritant I kept running into was a pronounced propensity to describe the heroines eyes... But from page to page they'd inconsistently go from Amber to dark brown to black... I found it maddening... If the character's eyes are going to be descriptive so many times, a bit of consistency would be nice.
Other than that... I'm looking forward to more.

Asha in Time edition by Mandy NachampassackMaloney Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Thoroughly enjoyed this story. It was different than what I typically pick, but I did enjoy it. The character development was nicely done and the end unpredictable.
Unusual story of a man's need to reincarnated the woman he loves so she will be the wife of a king.
The beginning needed a tad more detail.
The. Characters were well defined. Beauties character reminded me of the Henutmire in The Heretic Queen.
An interesting work of historical fiction for teens and young adults.

Unlike one other reviewer, I did not really notice any steamy sex in the book. Sex is there, but it's the kind that is PG+ rated.

I think the characters were well fleshed-out, and a person can certainly learn a bit about ancient Egypt from it.

Recommended for light-reading. I'll keep an eye out for future works by the author. And the cover is awesome.
The story doesn't start with a firm foundation, but gets interesting fast. There could have been more attention in some parts and less in others, but the story got stronger towards the end, but the epilogue did not make me happy...js . I felt like it didn't come full circle like it could have been, despite my negative ramblings the author has something to offer in this book. The plot is unique, and kept me hooked. She truly seems to have a talent for historical fiction, just needs some honing. But over all its well worth the read.
Time travel is always interesting and somewhat tricky, and this book handles it quite well. It has a little more sex than I do appreciate, but other than that it deals well with the problems an American girl would face in an ancient culture. I do think the main character slips into this culture a little more easily than I would have expected.
I agree with one other reviewer that this book would have benefitted from a good editor, but bad grammar is a problem I often encounter in Ebooks. This one is by no means the worst. Once upon a time all books were edited before publication, but that seems to be no longer the case.
The bottom line is, that for me, as a lover of Ancient Egypt, this was an enjoyeble book.
I was a little skeptical about buying Asha in Time after reading some of the negative things other reviewers had posted, but it was a ninety-nine cent book with an interesting premise (time travel meets young love with all that political power mixed in). I thought it was worth giving a shot.

All I have to say after reading the book is this...I have no idea what book the other reviewers were reading and what their expectations were. This book is both historically informative and entertaining. There aren't vampires or machines with artificial intelligence. This book does not rest on what is popular or fashionable. It's the story of one girl who has to face providence and ask herself if being in love with the prince of Egypt is worth a lifetime of sharing him with his country, his duties and his other women. To see these choices made by a fourteen year old girl was very remarkable. It really exemplifies how different ancient society vs. modern society.

I liked the main character, in the way you can like someone who is almost perfect, who is everything you want to be. What surprised me more was how much I felt connected with the supporting characters. There are two girls from war torn Troy who were real and had problems that made sense after being part of so much destruction. They fit into the narrative so well, and I was able to be happy for all of them at the end of the story.

I liked it. I was surprised I liked it so much.
