Indigo Nights turned into late nights for me reading this book. I love the way this author writes and I've read everything she's written so I was excited to read her latest offering.I love that so many of her books are linked, characters from one series get their own series and it makes the reader feel like they're part of those families and the lives of the characters.
Indigo Nights was no different. In it, we are reunited with the characters from previous books but in this one, it's about Beth, Jake's sister, who is a recovering alcoholic, and who has turned baking cakes from a way to help her with her sobriety, to what could very well become a career path for her.
Beth meets Dylan James on a plane which never quite gets off the ground due to bad weather and when they both start what was supposed to be just casual sex, a one night stand, certainly nothing serious anyway, it was at that point that I swear I thought I would burst into flames.
I love the way the two characters are together, the connection. I love that Beth bakes cakes and that so many yummy cakes and desserts get a mention, although they made me wish it was possible to taste them too. As for Dylan, he's just divine. The perfect blend of hot and sexy but with a caring side to him too.
This author sure knows how to write a sex scene. They are always beautifully written, with the perfect blend of sexy, sensual and steamy but romantic, emotional and powerful. I don't want to reveal the storyline because I don't want to spoil it, but I certainly recommend you read it.
I LOVED this book. I could barely put it down to eat or do anything other than read it. Another sexy, romantic and emotional read by Louise Bay.

Indigo Nights edition by Louise Bay Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Beth Harrison has always had the best of live, she got into a situation that quickly spiraled out of control. But luckily for her, she has a supportive brother that help her through the dark times. Now several years later she's healthy, happy, and had found a new passion. And this new passion is beginning to take her places she never dreamt of. Flying back and forth from London and Chicago can be tacking, but getting to do what she loves makes it all worth it.
Dylan James is a powerful man that is used to women checking him out. He doesn't need to go chasing women, they willing fall at his feet. He the type of man that will takes charge in a boardroom and the bedroom. But on a flight from London there's a woman that catches his attention... Beth Harrison.
What was supposed to be a one-night stand starts to turn into something more. The longer they spend time together, the deeper their feeling start to grow. But just as they are figuring out the whole relationship thing, things come to light that can tear them apart. How the handle it will determine their fate.
Everything you expect from a Louise book, Indigo Nights has it in spades. Beth is not your typical heroine. She's stronger because of her battles, but on the other hands she timid about the decisions she makes. She's a woman on a mission and she'll do whatever it takes to make her dreams a reality. She has high expectations for herself and those around her. And no matter the trials and tribulations she been through, she still has style and whole lot of sassiness. And Dylan? He's a walking wet dream and I love his no BS attitude. That man knows how to please his woman, making the reader's panties useless and in need of a very cold shower. I appreciate his determination to get what he wants at all costs. When he commits, he commits with his whole heart and soul. That is man after my heart.
This is, by far, my favorite Louise Bay book. The story consumed me and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. The heat that radiates off the pages will melt your reading device. This is a brilliant book that will have you wanting to have your own Indigo Nights.

This was the long awaited story about Jake Harrison's sister, Beth, who many of us have met in previous stories. She’s nearly four years into sobriety having spent most of her time in a drunken haze due to losing her mother at a young age and unsuccessful relationships. Jake got her into a clinic and supported her alcoholism bringing her back from the brink. She loves to bake which is another part of her therapy for keeping sober and from further heartbreak. She makes a few YouTube videos of her baking and they become a hit. Beth finds herself being invited to Chicago to possibly film for a TV company.
Having read Jake and Haven’s story in What The Lightening Sees, and then Ashleigh and Luke’s in The Calling Series, we got a glimpse of Beth. It was indicated that she would get a standalone story as opposed to a series telling her story of which I was looking forward to. There was something about Beth that I liked instantly. Being aware that she was single and a recovering alcoholic, at the time I really thought she deserved to have some happiness.Travelling first class, she notices businessman Dylan James. His good looks and moody ways with the airline staff fascinate her and she can’t stop herself from staring at him. Dylan is the kind of man who doesn’t do relationships. He just uses women for sex; however, they equally use him for his money.
Quote Beth ~ “You know, I’m sure any number of the flight attendants, male or female, would be happy to indulge you in” – “whatever it is you’re doing.”
Dylan ~ “I’m not interested in the cabin crew. I’m flirting with you, hoping you’ll flirt back.”
When the unexpected happens, Beth and Dylan find themselves together. The cat and mouse between them was an absolute pleasure to read. I was literally taken by the palpating attraction, and regardless of her stubborn streak, what follows is a steamy sex scene making my hair curl! Get ready for more sizzling encounters because these two can’t seem to keep their hands off each other!
Quote Dylan ~ “Oh baby, if you like how my tongue does that, I can’t wait to show you what else its capable of.”
There were times when I wondered where this relationship was going to lead to considering they live an ocean apart. Furthermore, their doubts and trust issues made me think that by continuing with liaisons, misunderstandings could cause more than one complication. Feeling the sexual tension ooze from the pages in this story packed with hotness, hurt and love had me on edge. I loved how we got to learn more about Beth's feisty personality and I felt that she was actually stronger than she thought.
Quote Dylan “You Googled me? You didn’t think about doing that before we had sex the first time?”
Beth ~ “Apparently I like your tight ass too much to be bothered by what Google had to say.”
Just when I think Louise has created the perfect story and couldn’t possibly invent more angst-ridden plots; yet again she has blown my mind! Full of passion, her character development of high-spirited women and sexy men is served up on a silver plate and I just adored it. But I am not going to give anything further away. I highly recommend this read and just have to quote the best line ever. “The only thing better than cakes cake with a side of orgasms.” That had me laughing out loud. Beth bakes and has no qualms about eating the cakes she bakes. I loved that about her. Too many of us women worry about eating such things and it going straight to our waistlines. Not once did Beth worry about that.
I gave five stars for many of the above mentioned reasons. Not only was this read fantastic, but it was also faultless in structure, editing and flow. I got to the end and thought how on earth is Louise going to come up with another story, but I know she will. I’ve always had a burning question. Does Ms Bay know any men like her characters because if not, the lady has an amazing imagination! As always, I look forward to what comes next although I am hoping we revisit Beth and Dylan again in the future along with Jake, Haven, Ashleigh and Luke.
